Job Description:

We are looking for a Production Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of quality control within our manufacturing processes, ensuring our products meet the high standards of our clients. You will play a lead role in driving the development and implementation of our Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) systems and processes while working closely with various departments to achieve continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality processes at all stages of production
  • Lead and manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors
  • Drive the development and implementation of APQP systems and processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system focusing on stampings, welded assemblies, and machined billet parts
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve processes and prevent defects in welded assemblies, stamped, and machined parts
  • Prepare and maintain quality control documentation, including reports, procedures, and APQP deliverables
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve quality and efficiency within the production process

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production quality control role, 2 years in a supervisory role; experience in aerospace, stamping, or welded assemblies is a plus
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems, including APQP
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
  • Experience in the application of statistical process control (SPC) techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of welding, stamping, and machining quality control procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) systems and processes
  • Experience using High QA, Minitab, 1Factory, or equivalent software
  • Understanding of GD&T and fixture design
