Lapeer Men’s Club — What We’re About

Men carry a lot: family, work, expectations, pressure… and most of us aren’t great at talking about it. The Lapeer Men’s Club is a simple way for guys to lighten the load. No judgment, no drama, no ego. Just men showing up, moving their bodies, and supporting each other.

I started this club because I saw how powerful it can be when men intentionally step into community. When the noise of life gets loud, having a circle of “mat carriers,” guys who show up for each other, makes a difference. Every Saturday morning, we create space for that. A place where the barriers drop and the weight feels a little lighter.

What We Do

We meet every Saturday at 6:00 a.m. behind the Mott Community College building in Lapeer.
From there, we head out for a three-mile ruck on the Oakdale Trails. Some of the guys carry weighted packs or vests, some just walk with their own bodyweight. The weight you carry isn’t the point; it’s what you leave behind.

After the ruck, we head to Doghouse Coffee in downtown Lapeer, where they open early for us. It gives everyone a chance to warm up, grab a coffee, and connect a little more before heading home to start the day.

Who Can Join

Any man. Any age. Any fitness level.
There’s no membership, no registration, and no expectations.
Just show up when you can.
